About Us

Lifelong Commitment to Africa & Conservation

Born in Mali, Patrick began accompanying his father on hunts at a very young age. Over the years, he witnessed the gradual decline of Mali’s magnificent savannah—an experience that shaped his commitment to protecting Africa’s wildlife and natural habitats.

After graduating as an electrical engineer from a leading French institution, Patrick earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and became an industrial entrepreneur. Yet he never left his passion for Africa behind. Alongside his business career, he guided hunts throughout West and Central Africa before taking over the Faro East concession in 2004.

His business experience and dedication to wildlife preservation led him to place conservation at the heart of Faro East’s long-term sustainability. Protecting the concession from poaching, agricultural encroachment, artisanal gold mining, and other intrusions is a constant challenge. It requires well-trained anti-poaching teams, strong leadership, and close cooperation with the Cameroonian authorities.

Through sustained conservation efforts, a firm commitment to ethical big-game hunting, and strict respect for allocated quotas, Faro East has maintained a 100% hunting success rate for more than 15 years, hosting over 120 SCI hunters.
